The tour begins in the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you will have the opportunity to explore the bustling medina, visit historical sites such as the Bahia Palace and Koutoubia Mosque, and shop for traditional Moroccan handicrafts in the souks. From there, you will travel through the Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, and stopping at scenic viewpoints to take in the stunning views.
Next, you will visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco. You will then continue on to the town of Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where you can visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios.
The highlight of the tour is the visit to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes of the Sahara Desert near Merzouga. You will ride on a camel through the dunes and enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the desert. You will then spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp, where you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, music, and star-gazing in the clear night sky.
On the final day of the tour, you will return to Marrakech, stopping at the Draa Valley, the largest palm grove in Morocco, and the Kasbah of Amridil before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once more.
Marrakech – Merzouga
6 am from Marrakech
Upon your arrival in Marrakech, we will be greeted by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city and visit the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Bahia Palace.
After breakfast, we will depart Marrakech and travel towards the High Atlas Mountains. we will pass through the Tizi n’Tichka pass and visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified city that has been used as a filming location for many movies. we will then continue to Ouarzazate and visit the Atlas Film Studios.
Today we will travel to Dades Valley via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. we will pass through Skoura Oasis and visit the Kasbah Amridil before continuing on to the Dades Valley.
After breakfast, we will drive to Merzouga via the Todra Gorge, where you can take a short hike. Upon arrival in Merzouga, we will have a camel trek to reach your desert camp. we will spend the night under
the stars in the Sahara Desert
we will wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes before returning to the hotel on camelback. After breakfast, we will drive to Zagora via Rissani and the Draa Valley. In Zagora, we will visit the Tinfou Dunes and the Koranic Library.
After breakfast, we will depart Zagora and travel to Taroudant via the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will stop at the village of Taliouine, famous for its saffron, and visit the Taroudant Souk
After breakfast, we will depart Taroudant and travel to Essaouira, a coastal city famous for its fishing port and fortified walls. We will have time to explore the medina and relax on the beach
After breakfast, we will depart Essaouira and travel to Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. In Casablanca, we will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the second-largest mosque in the world.
After breakfast, you will depart Casablanca and travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. You will visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, and the Mohammed V Mausoleum.
After breakfast, you will depart Rabat and travel back to Marrakech, where you will have time to explore the city before your departure.
